Types of wounds treated at the Center
If you are one of nearly 6 million Americans suffering from a chronic or non-healing wound or a wound that has not responded to prior treatment, The Center for Wound Healing at JFK can help you.
Your Evaluation and Treatment Options
All patients undergo a thorough diagnostic examination to identify the type of wound you have and the underlying problems causing the wound. After this, a program specifically tailored to your needs will be initiated based on the most effective treatment options to relieve pain and speed healing.
Hyperbaric Medicine
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment which enhances the body's natural healing process by inhalation of 100% oxygen in a total body chamber, where atmospheric pressure is increased and controlled. It is used for a wide variety of treatments usually as a part of an overall medical care plan.
